If God is dead, you no longer offer the other cheek

No one has yet managed to prove to me that my rights are naturally guaranteed by birth, as Locke claimed. If I didn’t fight or complain, you would kill both me and my freedom. Peace is not an idealization of human beings’ reality; it is a scientific result, a concrete achievement reached through a constant effort to preserve sovereignty.
I do not see rights in nature, in its raw and unregulated state. The rights to life and speech are artificial concepts. Do you find them essential? Then defend them—with words, ideas, discussion, and weapons.
Your life and self-determination won’t be guaranteed forever without the willingness to fight for them. You must accept the mayhem on which this world is built. Decades of balance and calm have generated false myths, like your conviction that your safety is exempt from the fate of victims of aggression far from you. But if you looked closely, you would see that those who suffer, although geographically distant, are close to you in their desire for autonomy, in their right to carve their own path. If they fall, your own future in liberty would be called into question, your own beliefs in unrestricted life, unrestricted decisions, and words, would run the risk of falling apart. So no, we are bound together in safeguarding the possibility of living and expressing ourselves. People have been abandoning their liberty since Crimea’s annexation in 2014 because they take it for granted, but that is not how nature works.
They don’t, the victims, again, need a God, nor useless words like these, but armies, tangible care. If they die without your response, without your support, without even your attention-if you fail to condemn every abuse against life-Violence will spread everywhere. It will reach your land, where your family, your children are growing up. Only one God could save you from death: your Awareness. You have dived into a very bloody historical period. You are not on a roll, I would say. We can figure this out together.
Human selfishness is undeniable image, but what prevails in your soul now is a weak and naïve fear. A fear that allows brutal invasions to succeed because it lacks true consciousness. We have leaned on the shoulders of our gods, and now we are dying with our shattered certainties. What is left for us against this authoritarian drift? Have you seen a future in another policy of appeasement? Is that why you agree to bow?
Words may be empty without facts, but they still carry meaning. We can use them to define right sides, to unveil evil, but they wouldn’t be enough in a cruel conflict with an invader who is unwilling to talk. If you turn the other cheek, you will die, and if life is a gift, you won’t be able to unwrap it without the freedom they are trying to strip away from you. They would try to steal breath and life from other innocent people without even facing your indignation.

Standing with victims is an act of Peace. Fighting is an act of love for the future. An unjust war is not defined by the mere concept of war itself, but by ideals that bring a person to the battlefield. Believing in Wilsonian self-determination means having deep faith and it demands sacrifice, rational judgment, and bravery. You will not always stand on the right wing; many ambiguous nuances can sway within the spectrum of colors, but reaching Peace requires war if the dialogue is non-actionable, be aware of this. Your freedom has been under threat before, it will be again. You, too, are a victim as a free creature whenever another independent spirit sees its free days coming to a tragic end, and both of you are obliged to struggle. Offering the other cheek is for slaves, not for free people.
